For most of our clients, we are engaged to help them with their investments because we have such a complete understanding of their situation. We do this with a systematic process based on your risk tolerance, which drives an asset-allocation approach using select money managers in each asset class, whether they are active fund managers or passive index funds. For clients who have a strong conviction toward socially responsible investing, we use mutual funds that screen out companies associated with alcohol, weapons manufacturing, tobacco, and gambling, for example. Once we complete the initial process of setting up your investments, it doesn’t end there. We’ll monitor the progress, and we’ll meet regularly with you to be sure that your investments reflect your current life circumstances.
One question that commonly comes up is whether we have an account “minimum” for working with folks. There is only one criteria that we use: we only work with clients who are nice.
We like to think of our practice as "high touch," actively involved, and always available. Every client is provided our private cell phone numbers, and we will meet days, evenings, and weekends depending on what works best for you. In fact, we are very happy to conduct all of our meetings in the comfort of your home, if you like.
