Ned joined Bothfeld Financial Partners in 2015 after spending three years in Washington, DC, working for a government relations firm specializing in transportation safety. Prior to that, Ned lived and worked in China for three years after graduating from college.
Ned is an integral member of Bothfeld Financial Partners, working closely with all clients to assist with their financial and wealth management needs.
He holds the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities) and Series 66 (Investment Adviser Representative and Uniform Securities Agent State Law) securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®. Ned also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation. He is also a licensed life and health insurance agent and holds appointments with numerous companies.
Ned is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (BA, 2008), and received his certificate in financial planning after completing coursework at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies.
Ned was a founding member of the Young Professional Council of The Alliance for the Great Lakes (YPC), a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting the Great Lakes. As a founding member of the YPC, he helped develop a grant program to support small-scale community projects aimed at protecting and improving the Great Lakes. He also served on the Auxiliary Board of the Rebuilding Exchange, which is also a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to sustainability and diverting waste by creating a market for reclaimed building materials and providing education and job training programs.
Ned lives in Evanston with his wife Emily, son Brown, and daughter Hunter. In his free time, he can be found playing pickup basketball and squash in various gyms around the Chicago area.
